These terms are between you and Pixelmere (“we”, “us”). By using pixelmere.com, you agree to the website terms below. Separate Apple and licence terms apply when you obtain an app.
Using this website
You may use this website to learn about Pixelmere and its products, read support material and contact us. You must not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use its content in a misleading or unlawful way.
We aim to keep product descriptions accurate and current. Before an app is released, features and timing may change as final testing and App Store review are completed. A statement that an app is coming in a particular month is an intention, not a guarantee of availability on a specific day.
Intellectual property
The Pixelmere name and mark, PromptBar and Markwise names and icons, website design, product copy and app software are owned by Pixelmere or used with permission. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.
You may link to public pages and quote brief passages with attribution. You may not reproduce substantial parts of the site, redistribute app assets, or imply an association or endorsement without written permission.
App licences
Pixelmere apps obtained from the Mac App Store are licensed, not sold. Unless an app's App Store page states otherwise, the Apple Standard End User Licence Agreement applies alongside mandatory consumer rights.
You must use the apps lawfully and in accordance with the applicable licence. You remain responsible for the text, notes, prompts, files and other material you create, store or process using them.
Purchases, billing and refunds
App Store purchases, payment processing, receipts and refunds are handled by Apple under the terms applying to your Apple account and storefront. Pixelmere cannot directly issue a refund for a transaction processed by Apple.
Prices, availability and any free tier will be shown on the relevant App Store product page when each app launches.
Availability and support
We work to provide reliable apps and accurate support material, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. System updates, hardware differences, third-party sync services and other software may affect behaviour.
Pixelmere currently supports the versions of macOS stated on each product page. We may update requirements over time. Support is provided through [email protected], with a target response time of two working days rather than a guaranteed service level.
Third-party services
If you place Markwise files in a folder managed by iCloud, Dropbox or another provider, your relationship with that provider is governed by its own terms. PromptBar may be used alongside other writing or AI services, but Pixelmere does not provide, control or endorse the output of those services merely because text can be pasted into them.
Responsibility and liability
Keep appropriate backups of important prompts, notes and attachments. Although the apps include local storage and file-management safeguards, no software can replace a backup strategy.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
Subject to those protections, Pixelmere is not responsible for losses caused by misuse, unsupported systems, failure to keep backups, third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control. If you use a Pixelmere app for business purposes, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these terms to reflect changes to our products, business or legal obligations. The latest version will appear here with its revision date. Material changes apply prospectively.
